I know there's a dedicated Smash Bros topic about news and updates, but I personally feel this particular media blow-out today is of interest to people more than just those who follow Smash Bros news closely and deserves it's own topic.
Smash Bros Ultimate lifted a media embargo today, and a ton of footage from World of Light, Spirits Mode & Classic Mode (and many other things) in Smash Bros Ultimate are hitting today along with a lot of other new information you can gather through videos. I won't (and couldn't if I wanted to) post every one in the OP, but anyone feel free to link and discuss any of the videos coming out.
Here's a few that have already hit I'll choose to demonstrate:
Classic Mode Gameplay:
World of Light Gameplay:
IGN - Five Rounds from World of Light: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elgpe96ZF9A
Nintendo Wire - Spirits Mode Hands On: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-J6PsrJtUs
GameXplain - Palutena Guidance on King K. Rool Secret: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr7y7xvJtYA
There's a LOT more and apparently more and more will be hitting all day. There's a lot to breakdown and pull from all the videos hitting, lots of new details, get to see Giga Bowser's boss in Classic Mode, and a lot more out there.
Feel free to post any of the various videos hitting right now, any observations, thoughts, or the like. I won't update the OP with everything, but I may post a few more of interest and observations myself.

Nintendo announced tons of information today during its Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct presentation.
Along with news on DLC, additional fighters, Spirits, Adventure Mode, and amiibo, Nintendo also provided more information regarding online features, matchmaking, and announced the Smash World mobile service for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate today.
One of the more interesting bits was just teased instead of outright detailed: the single-player Adventure Mode.
Similar to Adventure Mode: Subspace Emissary from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Adventure Mode: World of Light is a single-player mode which will tell the story of why numerous video game characters in the game have transformed into spirits.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players will be able to chat with others in battle arenas using the Nintendo Switch Online app, but there’s another feature in the works.
Called Smash World, this new smartphone feature will allow players to post and watch videos. It has all sorts of other “fun features” as well, but those will be revealed at a later date.
Additional information provided today on assist trophies, Mii Fighters, wireless and online play, and matchmaking can be found below in an organized fashion below, courtesy of Nintendo.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – Assist Trophies, Mii Fighters
Assist Trophies
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, assist trophies do exactly what their name suggests – they assist players in battle. Each is based on a video game character and unleashes a variety of different powers, both offensive and defensive.
